Rainwater Harvesting is the collection of rainwater, storage and subsequent reuse for households to supplement mains fed supplies. Domestic systems work on two distinct principles, “direct pressure” and gravity fed via header tanks usually situated in lofts.
Direct pressure systems generally use the property roof for collecting the rainwater which is then stored in an underground tank. Roof water is channelled through the normal guttering and down-pipe arrangements, before being brought into a single drainage pipe underground which feeds into the storage tank.
Proseptic design Rainwater Harvesting systems to maximise the efficiency of what you have and in accordance with the requirements of BS 8515.
